The collapse of Monarch, an ever present airline at Faro airport for many years, will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the Algarve. Hopefully the routes lost by the companies collapse will be replaced quickly and efficiently causing minimal disruption to air passengers using the airport. Indeed as this article goes to press it is being reported that Faro airport welcomed 3.5 million passengers this summer up 14.1% on summer 2016.
